“Transformation from a child crying physically to an adult crying mentally to leaving the world smiling physically and mentally is what I am after”, said he.
She pondered for a minute, grasping the context of the statement and phase of life he was in. She didn’t react at first. She realised that he was not looking for a reaction. “Take it all in and leave it all out. Let someone else assemble the pieces together”, she replied.
“That we have barometers to measure every aspect of life but not progress astounds me”, he added.
“What is progress to you?”, she asked.
“It is movement”, he replied
“What if you are still but life moves around you? Would you call that movement?, She asked.
“As humans, thoughts pervade our essence since the time we are born. If I am still, that means I no longer have thoughts or am governed by it. It signifies an end or a great begining”, he replied.
“Can you control such an outcome?, she asked.
“We are speaking of a state beyond vision. That means, you move into a state of complete self-absolvement; a view of the universe if you may put it that way where you merge into the expanse. You cannot control or manifest such an outcome.”, he said.
“If you cannot manifest such an outcome, how do you achieve such a state?”, she asked.
“You don’t”, he replied.
“What do you mean?”, she asked, a bit puzzled.
“An architect conceives a building, puts the drawings on paper and hands over the drawings to civil engineers to bring the building to life. Without the vision, the building does not exist. So, to move beyond a state of vision means you move into a plane where you have a view of life on all the planes where life exists. It is a state of existence like a spec of dust”, he answered.
“Are we saying that we move into this state without a choice?, she asked.
“Yes. When you are at complete rest and have nothing more to architect”, he replied.
“Does this mean you can reach this state while you’re alive or it is a state after death?”, she asked.
“Does it matter?”, he replied smilingly.
